Ministries

A variety of ministries will be offered for renewal, encouragement, growth, development, and refreshment (see the Facilities page for available accomodations).

The facilities will be available for:

• churches and other Christian organizations to plan their own agenda or program

• overnight retreats

• week-end and week-long conferences

• church and family gatherings for worship and fellowship

• parties and celebrations

• leadership seminars

• dinners and special events

• business and professional seminars and training events

• family reunions and gatherings

• senior adult outings

• ministry to couples of all ages

• weddings

• a place for refuge for pastors, pastor/staff, and pastor/wife

The feature article in the religion section of the Southwest Times Record in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on Saturday, February 8, 2003, was about ministers with "burn out." We had someone that same week come by who has a ministry to stepparents. This friend needed council and encouragement from someone that cares about him and his ministry. The list goes on! One of the main objectives of Oaks Manor Conference and Retreat Center is to provide facilities and support for needs like these.

In summary, the ministry of Oaks Manor Conference and Retreat Center will be to provide a refuge from a busy and demanding world and a place where adults who "wait upon the Lord can renew their strength...." Isaiah 40:31

These grounds belong to God and will remain drug and alcohol free.
